Mill Street School Library Media Program is dedicated to ensuring that students learn to be effective users of information and literate life-long learners. The Library is a vital link in the educational chain at our school.

All classes visit the library once a week where they will spend 1/2 hour with story activities.  These include plays, poetry, interactive stories and games.  Each student is encouraged to check out books to take home.  These items need to be returned the following week during their library time. If the items are not returned within two weeks, the student may receive morning recess detention until the book has been paid for or returned.  Overdue notes are sent home weekly with students that have not returned their books.

We also hold two Scholastic Book Fairs during the school year. These are used  to raise funds to update classroom books, purchase new items and equipment for our library and to provide reasonably priced books for parental purchase. The book fairs are open during regular school hours during the week and during Open House in the spring.

The library hours for the school year are as follows:

Monday-Friday: 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
